ESG
In its journey for humanity and the future, JOIL strives to leave a sustainable footprint that does not generate carbon. To achieve 2050 Net Zero, we have established eco-friendly management goals and are progressing towards a sustainable tomorrow for humanity.
SBTI
JOIL plans to obtain SBTi certification based on IPCC to respond to climate change and reduce greenhouse gases. We aim to collaborate in preventing global temperature warming from exceeding 1.5℃ by implementing initiative activities at the group level and establishing specific and clear long-term goals.
RTS & BIOMASS
JOIL's sustainable products are not limited to eco-friendly raw materials. Starting with the installation of solar panels at our main production base in Vietnam in 2023, we initiated a renewable electric energy project for the global supply chain. Additionally, through the 2025 Biomass 100% Project, we are pushing for a transition from traditional coal fuel to biomass energy generated from plant resources derived from organic materials such as trees, grass, and crops. The Indonesia Plant 2, scheduled to operate in 2025, will be built as an eco-friendly facility, and all global facilities are using renewable electric energy. JOIL produces products using energy derived from nature and contributes to a sustainable future.
RECYCLED &
BIO CONTENTS
JOIL produces products using eco-friendly certified raw materials, and ever since 2020, we have been leading the global market after completing the development of eco-friendly fabrics for all materials used in the footwear industry. Over 90% of our production is made from eco-friendly raw materials, and through continuous research, development, and investment, we are developing various versions of recycled and BIO materials.
ZDHC
JOIL has joined ZDHC, a global association consisting of over 180 brands in the textile, apparel, and footwear industries, actively participating in the elimination of harmful chemicals. Following the restricted substance list defined by ZDHC, we ensure and receive certification for the traceability of the entire process from raw material import to production and shipment. Not only do we ensure the traceability of chemicals, but we also comply with local regulations on the emission of pollutants such as wastewater, air, and waste generated during the production process. In 2023, we completed the development of water-based PU for all products, taking a step towards a sustainable tomorrow.
SLCP & BETTER WORK
JOIL participates in SLCP and Better Work, which are certified in the global supply chain, to comply with international labor standards. We assess and improve workers' productivity, safety, working conditions, and work environment, contributing to the goal of building a sustainable and responsible global supply chain.
